Career inspiration

One to one careers advice

The UWE Careers service is there to help you throughout your time at university and after graduation. You can even access their resources online before you arrive at UWE.

Services for students

We offer extensive online resources to help you with career decisions and job search activity. Students can easily access information on CVs, interview preparation, employer details, further study options, international opportunities, enterprise and self employment, internships, placements, job vacancies and career destinations of former students.

All students can access appointments with professionally qualified careers staff. We also offer an online advice service and run workshops on a range of key topics such as job interview preparation.

Employer events

We organise a number of events each year, including careers talks and presentations from employers about their companies and the opportunities they provide. We also host the largest annual careers fair outside London, with 135 exhibitors and 4,000 visitors taking part in 2011. We also run events around enterprise skills and meeting entrepreneurs, including UWE alumni.

Alumni advantage

UWE alumni can take advantage of the full range of careers services for three years after graduation. These include advice on job vacancies; CV, application and interviews; appointments with Careers Consultants; use of facilities on campus and much more.  And if after three years you still need some help, you can use our extensive online resources if you need a steer in the right direction.
