The Octagon
There is a peaceful space within the hustle and bustle of the University set aside for prayer and reflection, to meet friends, or simply to have a moment of quiet.
Faith and spirituality
The Octagon provides pastoral support and guidance whatever your faith may be, information and advice about faith networks and communities, and a range of events and activities. Links with other groups within UWE and the wider community means that support can extend across campuses and beyond the University.
Located in the Octagon building is a lounge, quiet room, prayer space and a kitchen for refreshments. All students and staff are welcome to use this facility.

Community Hub
The Octagon also hosts UWE’s Community Hub drop-in service. Open to all students and staff, we provide advice and support to anyone interested in Faith and Spirituality and Volunteering, and also offer information, advice and support for International students.
The Community Hub is open Monday – Thursday 09:30 – 17:00, and Friday 09:30 – 16:30. There is no need to make an appointment.
