Student Village

The Student Village is a vibrant community of specially designed first-class accommodation for nearly 2,000 students.

Located at the hub of UWE life on Frenchay Campus, the Village provides a secure environment to make new friends and get involved in University activities.

Village accommodation

The Village consists of four courtyards. Each courtyard is split into flats that contain six student rooms. In each flat, there is a large kitchen and social area with modern kitchen equipment and comfortable stylish furniture.

Each private room has an en-suite facility, free Internet and UWE network access (via Resnet), and a TV point with Freeview. The furniture is designed to maximise space, storage and comfort for study and relaxation.

Village safety

Each courtyard has a staffed reception to supplement the secure entry system and to provide first-line support and assistance.

There are CCTV cameras monitoring the Village area and dedicated on-site staff are trained to deal with situations that may arise. The UWE Health Centre is close by if there is any illness or injury.

Village community

The Student Village has a dynamic community feel all of its own. Membership of the neighbouring Centre for Sport comes as part of the package and there is easy access to the Students’ Union, so there are always opportunities to get involved in activities. There is also a Village Store that stocks all the essentials plus a lot more.
