International community
With students from over 140 countries worldwide, UWE has a diverse community of international students with strong social networks among them.
Friends for life
International student societies at UWE are going from strength to strength. The Vietnamese, Malaysian, Hellenic, African Caribbean and newly-established Scandinavian society meet regularly and have open membership all year round. The Students’ Union also welcome new societies, so if you have a group of friends you’d like to expand or a community you think could grow, why not start your own?
Keep the faith
Whatever your faith, The Octagon on Frenchay Campus will welcome you to practice and observe your religious traditions, while our strong network of faith communities allow you to practice and socialise with likeminded students. These faiths also extend to the UWE Students' Union networks, where many are represented by these active student groups.
Well travelled
UWE is partnered with universities and colleges nationally and internationally, which gives our students the opportunity to study part of their degree abroad. We also welcome students from China, Virginia and Malaysia among others, to do the same at UWE. This only adds to the diversity of the community here at the University.
