Information for staff
2013 Awards Ceremonies
The University of the West of England Awards Ceremonies 2013 will be held from Monday 15 July to Friday 26 July 2013 and from Monday 25 November to Friday 29 November 2013.
Registration
You must register your attendance, order robes and refreshments as early as possible. You will receive reminders nearer the time. If you miss the deadline or have problems logging onto the Ede and Ravenscroft robing system, please e-mail graduation@uwe.ac.uk.
Arrival times at Bristol and Gloucester Cathedral
Please arrive at Bristol Cathedral /Gloucester Cathedral at least one hour before the start of the ceremony. This will allow you sufficient time to collect your robes and join the processional party.
Awards ceremony procession
If you wish to process, you will need to wear academic robes. Please order your robes by the deadline of Monday 1 July 2013 for the July ceremonies and Monday 11 November for November ceremonies.
Refreshments
Bristol Awards Ceremonies
Tea and coffee will be available to all staff one hour prior to the commencement of the ceremony in the Old Library. You will also be welcomed in the refreshments marquee after the ceremony.
Lunch packs will be provided for staff attending consecutive morning and afternoon ceremonies and a ‘high tea’ for those attending consecutive afternoon and evening ceremonies.
Please order your refreshments before the deadline of Monday 1 July 2013 for the July ceremonies and Monday 11 November for the November ceremonies.
Gloucester Awards Ceremonies
Tea and coffee will be available to all staff one hour prior to the commencement of the ceremony in the Parliament Room. Lunch will be provided for all staff attending at 13:00 in the Parliament Room.
Security at Bristol and Gloucester Cathedral
Please be prepared to show your UWE ID card to security staff when entering Bristol Cathedral and the refreshments area.
It is advisable to keep your possessions with you at all times in the Cathedral.
