Registration

Graduands will need to register on arrival at the desks inside the cloisters entrance of the Cathedral. We recommend arriving approximately two hours before the ceremony begins.

Registration for morning ceremonies will begin at 08:30, for afternoon ceremonies at 12:00 and for evening ceremonies at 15:00. The registration desk will close 30 minutes before your ceremony start time. It is essential that you have registered before this point.

Guest seating

Guests should use the north door entrance to the Cathedral. All guest seats are numbered and correspond with tickets. Your guests can begin to take their seats in the main nave of the Cathedral from 09:30, 13:00 and 16:00. View instructions for collecting your pre-purchased guest tickets.

Access requirements

Wheelchair access is available through the north door of the Cathedral and appropriate seating will be arranged. Stewards will be pleased to show you to your seats when you arrive at the Cathedral. Visit our accessibility information for details.

Hashtag Printing Service

On the day of your ceremony use #uwegraduation on your Twitter and Instagram photo uploads and then take away free Polaroid-style prints of your pictures. You will be able to collect your prints from the Alumni team after your ceremony, in the marquee adjacent to the Cathedral.

We aim to print as many photos uploaded to Twitter and Instagram with the #uwegraduation as possible, but may need to limit prints to two per account at very busy periods.

Please note: to use the Hashtag Printing Service, you will need to Tweet or post with #uwegraduation from a publicly visible Twitter or Instagram account. If you have a private Twitter or Instagram account and wish to change it to public, you can do so via the Privacy and Settings sections of your account.

Photography

The professional photographers Ede and Ravenscroft (tel: +44 (0)1733 563565) will be available in the Cathedral after you have registered and robed. You may book your photography prior to the event or pay on the day.

Video

A professional DVD will be made of the ceremony by Visions Unlimited. UWE Bristol DVDs can be ordered in advance through the Visions Unlimited UWE Bristol website, and will be available for collection/purchase within 15 minutes after the event.

The coffee shop in Bristol Cathedral serves light refreshments from 09:30 until 16:00, and will remain open until 17:00 when an evening ceremony is to be held. There are also many restaurants in the Bristol Cathedral area.
