Clearing guidance

Finding a course
Do your research so you know what's available. Use our Clearing pages and UCAS for the most up to date information.
Don't just pick a UWE course because it has space, you should be enthusiastic about the course to make sure you succeed. Going to University is an investment in your future – it is one of the most important choices you’ll make.
Consider part time study if the full time option is full, you may be able to get part time work alongside your studies which can help with finance.
Securing an offer
Have all your qualification information to hand when you ring, by the time you have hung up and gone to find it someone else may have just got your place!
Be ready to speak to our Admissions team yourself. We cannot discuss details of your application with your parents or teachers.
Be prepared to come for an interview at short notice if you are applying for an Art, Health related or Teaching course, this will mean you have to be flexible as there may only be one interview date available.
Ring as many institutions as you want, you do not have to accept the first offer you receive.
Accepting your offer
If you receive a UWE Clearing offer we will e-mail you the details within 15 minutes. This will include the instructions you'll need to follow to accept your offer.
If you've not received your offer e-mail within 15 minutes do check your spam folders before getting back in touch.
If you want to accept a UWE clearing offer - do so as soon as possible and before the deadline in your offer e-mail. If you do not meet the deadline your offer will lapse.
