Continuing your studies at UWE

If you are choosing to continue your studies at UWE you will be required to make a visa application before you can start your new course. For example, you may decide to study a postgraduate course at UWE following on from successfully completing your undergraduate course.

Please note: You will not be able to start your new course on your existing visa, even if it has time remaining. You will need to make an application to extend your visa before you can start your new course.

There are certain criteria which may prevent you from submitting the visa application from inside the UK, so it is strongly advised that as part of your admissions process you contact the Immigration Advisers regarding your next course of study at UWE.

As you will be studying a new course the Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) required for your visa application will be issued to you via your UWE Welcome website – you do not need to submit a CAS request form.

Applying for a new visa

You do not need to wait to be issued a CAS for your main award before you start to prepare your documents for your visa application.

To apply for your visa see our advice on applying for a Tier 4 (General) student visa inside the UK.
