Entry requirements - Brazil

The experienced UWE Bristol International team will be happy to give you advice on the suitability of your qualifications for your chosen programme of study.

Qualifications listed under each heading may satisfy UWE Bristol entry requirements to that level of study. This is not a guarantee of an offer of a place, which is at the University’s discretion.

All students must also have a recognised English language qualification.

Entry onto foundation programmes

Students with either the Certificado De Ensino Medio or Certificado de Conclusao de Segundo Grau are eligible to apply for a foundation degree or an undergraduate degree with foundation year entry.

Entry onto undergraduate programmes

Students who have completed the first year at a Brazilian university are eligible to apply for our undergraduate programmes.

If you have studied A-levels or International Baccalaureate, further information on entry requirements can be found at Courses at UWE Bristol.

Entry onto postgraduate programmes

Holders of the degrees of Bacharel, Licenciado or an equivalent level from a recognised institution in Brazil will be eligible to apply for our postgraduate courses. Applicants are usually required to have a 70 per cent average.

What to do if you don't meet our entry requirements

If you do not quite meet our entry requirements, our International College offers a range of university preparation courses to teach you all you need to progress to UWE Bristol. We also have a range of Pre-sessional English language courses to get your English skills up to the standard required for entry to UWE Bristol.

You may also want to consider other scholarships available from organisations independent of UWE Bristol.

We are also proud to be part of the Ciências sem Fronteiras scheme. This is a Brazilian government sponsored programme to encourage educational mobility of undergraduate, postgraduate and research students.

The scholarship is available to Brazilian students for one year of undergraduate study, full PhDs and sandwich PhDs.
