Teaching and opportunities in Science
Studying a science subject at UWE Bristol gives you the opportunity to take part in practical laboratory work, national and international field trips, traditional lectures and group work activities.
You could visit Devon to find out more about its fishing industry, Madagascar to investigate how humans and wildlife interact, or Cuba to spend time in the forests and the sea learning new field work techniques.
Find out about our students’ experiences in Cuba.
You can also take part in activities and events closer to home. We’re a founding member of the Bristol Natural History Consortium where you can volunteer to improve and increase the public’s understanding and appreciation of the natural world.

Many of our courses are accredited by their professional body, so you can be sure that you’re developing the most relevant and up-to-date skills you’ll need to have a career in science.
