What are UCAS Tariff points?

UCAS Tariff points translate your qualifications and grades into a numerical value, depending on the level of qualification and the grade you achieved. Most – but not all – qualifications have a tariff value.

How are they used?

Like most universities, we use the UCAS Tariff point system so you’ll see our offers in tariff points on our course entry requirements. We’ve made tables covering the more common qualifications below, so you can work out how many you will need for your chosen course.

Calculate your UCAS Tariff points

You can find out how many points your qualifications are worth by using the UCAS Tariff point calculator.

What happens if my qualifications aren't listed on the UCAS Tariff?

We will also consider qualifications that aren't included – you'll need to contact our Admissions Team for more advice.
