Talk to someone online
We’ve teamed up with Kooth Student to provide free, anonymous online counselling during evenings and weekends. This service will help us to widen our out-of-hours provision and reach more students in need.
How to get online support
Kooth Student is an online platform where students can access confidential support from accredited counsellors through a computer or mobile device. They provide regular counselling sessions, as well as drop-in chats to discuss any difficulties you may be experiencing. The website also gives users access to community forums and relevant resources.
Using Kooth Student is easy. Register online by entering your UWE Bristol email address and a few details, then look out for the confirmation email in your inbox. After creating a quick anonymous profile, you will be able to log in and chat to a counsellor.Get support from Kooth Student
Kooth Student counsellors are available to talk throughout the year, including out of term time, from:
- Monday to Friday from 12:00–22:00
- weekends from 18:00–22:00.
You can leave a message outside of these hours, and you’re welcome to browse the forums and resources at any time.
As part of your account set up, you’ll need to provide your UWE Bristol email address so that your user account can be verified. Once you’ve registered, your email address will be deleted from Kooth Student’s database.
As a student at UWE Bristol, you are eligible to use both Kooth Student and the University’s Wellbeing Service, if you wish.
