Postgraduates - paying your fees

Ways to pay

  • Credit/debit card
  • Direct debit (£100 or more)

For the above payment methods, provisionally register online (via myUWE) and then pay your tuition fees via the University’s online payment facility.

  • Student Finance part time tuition fee grant
  • Cheque – made payable to ‘UWE Bristol’
  • Other sponsor, e.g. your employer
  • Professional and Career Development Loan – UK residents only
  • Cash – the University does not recommend carrying large sums of money on your person

For these methods, provisionally register online (via myUWE) and then pay your tuition fees via the Financial Details form (FD1).

Go to our Financial Details form guidance for further information.

Frequently Asked Questions

I don’t know how much my tuition fees are

Please see our Postgraduate course fee information for full details.

I would like to pay by Professional and Career Development Loan

If you are using a Professional and Career Development Loan to pay all or part of your fees, you should take confirmation of your loan to your registration session.

See further information on Professional and Career Development Loans.

I am on a pre-registration health professional course funded by the NHS

You are not required to pay tuition fees and should therefore be able to complete your registration online (via myUWE).

I still have a question about paying my tuition fees. Who should I contact?

Contact the appropriate member of the Registration Team.

How long do I have to make arrangements to pay my tuition fees?

You should make arrangements to pay your tuition fees by the end of the registration period. The registration period is defined as “the last calendar day of the month following your official course start date”. This will be 31 October for courses beginning in September.

What happens if I don’t make arrangements to pay my tuition fees?

It is essential that you register fully by making arrangements to pay your tuition fees as soon as possible. Failure to do so by the end of the registration period may result in you being withdrawn from the University and you will no longer be a student. This means you will no longer be entitled to:

  • Attend lectures or seminars
  • Attend professional practice
  • Continue your supported placement
  • Use the library or computer facilities
  • Have any work assessed or considered by an examining board
  • Have a short term loan from the University
