Business student taking part in a meeting

Start your own project

Do you have a cause that you would like to support or a passion in a particular area? Maybe you want to do something linked to your course or your own skills or interests? Is this something where a group of student volunteers could really make a difference? We can help you to make it a reality!

Turn your idea into a volunteering project

You do not have to have a fully formed project, just an idea and a commitment to making something happen.

Projects may be a one-off event, or a regular weekly or monthly activity.

Take a look at our Quick Guide to Student-Led Projects, contact us or visit us in the Community Hub to find out more or talk over your ideas.

Support from UWE Bristol Volunteering

We are here to take you from an initial idea to a feasible project plan. We will provide one-to-one support to help you in your research and planning, and can help you to make contact with community groups, charities and organisations that you might want to volunteer with.

We will support you to recruit other volunteers to help make your project a success, provide relevant training, and help keep you on track as your project progresses. We also have funding available to cover reasonable project costs.

Where do I start?

The first step is to email volunteering@uwe.ac.uk to tell us about your project. We will then be in touch to help you take it forward.
