Get recognised for your volunteering
Volunteering is a fantastic addition to your CV, and you might even be able to use it to secure an award. For some awards you need to be nominated, but for others you can nominate yourself.
UWE Bristol Futures Award
The UWE Bristol Futures Award is an employability award that is open to all full-time and sandwich undergraduate students at the University. It is designed to help you learn new skills, gain confidence and improve your graduate job prospects.
Take part by registering today and participating in three different activities chosen from a wide range of interesting and challenging options.
When you have completed 25 hours of volunteering it can count as one activity towards your award. Use this volunteering record sheet to keep track of the hours that you have spent volunteering and the work that you have carried out. Your signed record sheet will verify your volunteering for the award – just submit it with your award portfolio entry.
Change Maker Award
In addition to the UWE Bristol Futures Award you can also achieve the Change Maker Award if you have completed 25 hours of green activity with a sustainability focus.
The Change Maker Award recognises and rewards students efforts to help tackle sustainability issues. All you need to do is tick a box and complete a short reflection when you submit your activity for the UWE Bristol Futures Award.
