GDP lifecycle
How long does the GDP last?
The GDP will last throughout your entire undergraduate degree programme, with the focus changing at different stages.
How does the GDP fit in with your studies?
Sessions are timetabled for a minimum of 12 hours in level 1, eight in level 2 and four at level 3, but details vary with each programme so check with your course tutor. There will also be the chance to organise your own student-led sessions.
What happens at the end of the GDP?
Each year your performance on the programme is recorded and you will be asked to submit a written peice of work reflecting your personal and academic development. In addition to your final degree, you will be provided with a record of achievement and certificate of accomplishment to present to prospective employers as evidence of your ability to actively manage your personal development and learning.
