Research, practice and projects

Science for Environment Policy is a news and information service produced by the Unit on behalf of the European Commission’s DG Environment. It communicates environmental research findings in easy-to-understand articles and reports to policymakers across Europe, reinforcing the links between science and policy. Michelle has worked on the project in various roles since it was first acquired by SCU in 2007.

Michelle has a broad range of experiences working in the communications sector. Previous roles before joining SCU included: Media Officer with the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC); Media Analyst for a communications evaluation agency; and Project Coordinator with a design and marketing agency. She has an MSc in Science, Culture and Communication from the University of Bath and a degree in Linguistics from UCL.
