About the Graduate School
We provide dedicated support for everyone involved in the postgraduate research journey - students, supervisors, examiners and University services.
We are a single point of contact for all postgraduate research matters, providing you with advice and guidance. You will receive the same information and high-quality support regardless of which part of the University you belong to.
Graduate School support
Our Graduate School Director, Professor Neil Willey, is an academic leader to champion the cause of postgraduate researchers and their supervisors.
The Graduate School Committee is a forum for postgraduate research policy and issues which reports directly to Academic Board.
Graduate School staff are an experienced and integrated team who provide high-quality support for postgraduate research across all the faculties. We share knowledge and good practice and work together with other University services. You are welcome to contact us by phone, email or in person in room 3E37 (Frenchay campus).
Skills development for students and supervisors
We run a skills development programme of workshops to help research staff and research students develop vital transferable skills. Skills development courses are free of charge if you are a registered UWE Bristol postgraduate researcher or UWE Bristol research staff.
An identity and a community
We encourage our postgraduate researchers to be part of the postgraduate research community at UWE Bristol. We run events to bring postgraduate researchers together and give them a voice.
