Services for businesses and organisations
Expertise is readily available through the creative and responsive interdisciplinary teams drawn from eighteen university departments. ISHE provides an extensive range of services for business and organisations, including:
Consultancy
We undertake a range of consultancy projects in areas such as:
- the evaluation of complex sustainability and health intervention programmes;
- change management and behaviour change;
- the design of sustainable products, services and places;
- strategy and policy development;
- environmental management, including carbon reduction, resource utilisation and “waste” management;
- governance for sustainability.
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) is a Government-funded initiative to help businesses and organisations in the public, private and voluntary sector improve their effectiveness by giving them better access to the knowledge, skills and technology that reside within universities.
The KTP scheme enables UWE to recruit a talented graduate or postgraduate to work full time at your organisation on a strategic development project. This can be in a range of areas including, product and service development, strategic and operational management, marketing and communications or workforce training and enhancement. The graduate works closely with employees embedding the project into your organisation.
UWE helps define a priority project for your organisation, and provides expertise in the form of a Senior Academic Supervisor throughout the project, working closely with the partner organisation and the Associate.
KTPs are from 6 months to 3 years in duration. For SMEs up to 67% of the overall project costs are funded by government, whilst for larger organisations it is 50%.
See examples of current and completed UWE KTP projects.
