Education Resources Collection (ERC)

The ERC contains books, CDs, and DVDs for children aged between 3-16. It is primarily for students studying on initial teacher education courses but is open to all UWE Bristol staff and students.
Find items in the ERC
Use the library search to find resources in the ERC (limit results to 'Library Location: Education Resources Collection).
When on placement
When you are on school placement you are entitled to:
- Borrow up to 25 items.
- Borrow all items for 120 days unless recalled by another user.
- Make unlimited renewals on any loan as long as the item has not been reserved by another user.
- If any item is reserved by another user it will be recalled and must be returned within 7 days. You will be notified by email.
Please return any big books with any other items that could easily be damaged to a member of library staff on level 2. Please keep your receipt to show you have returned all your loans.
The Frenchay Campus Library is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Times when staff are available can be found on the opening hours page.
You may find it useful to request items be put aside, posted or photocopied.

Federation of Children's Book Groups reading lists
The Federation of Children’s Book Groups provide useful resources for children’s book groups and for professionals involved with children’s literature. The resources include book lists, lists of children’s author/illustrator websites, lists of children’s book publishers, reading literacy organisations and other websites.
