What is Skype for Business?
Skype for Business is a communications app that pairs up with your Polycom desk phone and allows you to communicate with colleagues using: traditional telephone conversation, video calling and instant messaging.
I cannot sign into Skype for Business on my PC
Before you are able to access Skype for Business you need to have an account set up for you. To find out how to request a Skype for Business account, please visit the Staff intranet task: Request a telephone number and handset.
Once you have had confirmation you account has been set up you just need to sign in with your UWE Email address and password. After your initial sign in you will not be prompted to sign in again on your UWE issued PC/Laptop.
Can I access Skype for Business on my mobile device
Will my Skype for Business account work with the public version of Skype
Your Skype for Business account will not work with Skype.
If you need to access Skype for video calling partners that do not use Office 365, you will need to go to Skype.com and create a personal Skype account.
