About the Social Science Research Group (SSRG)

The Social Science Research Group a multidisciplinary research group that is dedicated to understanding the complex social world that we live in.

The group is an applied research group that combines a number of different academic disciplines together in a cohesive way to work on a range of different personal, social and cultural issues in conjunction with local, regional and international organisations.

Aims and objectives

The group has a number of aims and objectives listed below:

• Why – To enable a clearer understanding of the complex society that we live in
• How – Through high quality research, evidence based practice and public engagement
• What - To help facilitate a better understanding of the complexity of social life and the challenges that it poses, as well as helping to facilitate the most appropriate responses

The Prevention of Sexual Abuse Network

The Prevention of Sexual Abuse Network brings together a multi-disciplinary team of academics who try to drive a much-needed and likely disruptive shift toward preventing sexual abuse, as well as responding to it.
