Choosing your Modules for 2012/2013
You are required to make your module choices for the next academic year (2012/2013) by no later than 15 March 2012. If you are entering your final year of study, you will also need to choose your preferred project.
Why is this important?
Our academic regulations define named degrees in terms of combinations of modules, so it is vital that you choose the right modules in order to achieve the named degree of your choice.
There may be flexibility within your degree programme, so you may need to choose from a selection of available modules.
Some modules may be pre-requisites for modules you wish to study in later years.
It is also important that the choices you make now are firm choices as we need accurate information to timetable rooms, labs, etc. Our ability to offer the range and choice of modules within our degree programmes depends on you providing accurate information!
Final Year Project
For those of you expecting 2012/2013 to be your final year of study, it is also important to think in detail about the project you wish to take. The project is a 40-credit module and often makes a defining contribution to your degree; as such, it is important at this stage that you pre-select a group of provisional, preferred projects from the large number on offer.
