December 2009 - Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Autumn Lectures series

CTS plays host to the CILT Autumn Lectures on the evening of 14 December with the following presentation:
Major-General Tim Cross CBE and Carolyn Miller, Chief Executive, Medical Emergency Relief International (MERLIN) - 'Humanitarian Logistics'.

December 2009 - Second seminar in the series 'Moving the region forward' - Professor Graham Parkhurst and Professor Iain Docherty

Professor Graham Parkhurst, UWE Bristol and Professor Iain Docherty, University of Glasgow are delivering a seminar on 9 December 2009 on the topic of 'Infrastructure for sustainable regional growth'. Presentations from the event are now available to download:

December 2009 - CTS Winter Conference

CTS is holding a one-day conference on 7 December at UWE to showcase a selection of the research currently being undertaken within the Centre and drawing together papers that will be presented at the 2010 Universities Transport Study Group conference in Plymouth in January 2010. The event is open to all and free to attend. The conference programme provides further details.

September 2009 - Miriam Ricci joins CTS

Miriam Ricci has joined CTS as a Research Fellow to work on Renaissance, a EU-funded project aimed at implementing a series of sustainable mobility measures in Bath.

September 2009 - Owen Waygood joins CTS

Owen Waygood has joined CTS to work as the principal researcher on the CATCH study, an EU funded project on changing transport choices through information.

April 2009 - CTS student wins international prize

CTS PhD student Alexandros Nikitas has been awarded an international prize for his paper on road pricing.
