Entry requirements - Venezuela

The experienced UWE Bristol International team will be happy to give you advice on the suitability of your qualifications for your chosen programme of study.

Qualifications listed under each heading may satisfy UWE Bristol entry requirements to that level of study. This is not a guarantee of an offer of a place, which is at the University’s discretion.

All students must also have a recognised English language qualification.

Entry onto foundation programmes

Venezuelan students who have completed the Venezuelan Senior Secondary School (Bachillerato), instead of International Baccalaureate or A-levels, with an overall grade of 15/20 can be considered for a foundation degree or an undergraduate degree with foundation year entry.

Entry onto undergraduate programmes

Successful completion of the first year of an undergraduate degree (Licenciatura) will be considered for first year entry of an undergraduate degree at UWE Bristol (6.0-6.9/10.0 or 55 per cent/100 per cent).

Entry onto postgraduate programmes

Students must have a Licenciado/Professional title when awarded after four years or more in order to be considered for direct admission to postgraduate study:

  • On the 20-point scale: 13 or above
  • On the 9-point scale: 6 or above
  • On the 5-point scale: 3 or above
  • GPA system (4.0-0): 2.9 or above.

For entry to research programmes, you will normally need to have completed a Masters degree in a subject relevant to your proposed postgraduate study.
