Travelling to UWE

Car parking

Car parking is by permit only*. Visitors should purchase and display a valid car parking token. Tokens are available for purchase from all catering outlets and Students' Union receptions on campus. Please see our Car parking pages for frequently asked questions, charges and guidance for students, staff and visitors.

*Please note: Parking permits are not required for UWE Open Days or events at the Exhibition and Conference Centre.

UWE Exhibition and Conference Centre and other UWE campuses

Directions for UWE Exhibition and Conference Centre are the same as for Frenchay Campus except vehicles should enter campus via the North Entrance (BS34 8QZ for your sat nav). Directions for UWE Gloucester and Hartpury Campus.

Travelling to Bristol

Bristol's Clifton Suspension Bridge

The University is easy to reach from most areas of the country, situated close to the M4 and M5 motorways. There are also excellent train and coach connections.

Bristol Parkway station is very convenient for the University's Frenchay Campus and there are regular buses directly to campus.

London is just 90 minutes from Bristol by train. Travel by coach is easy too, with an extensive network of routes. Bristol Airport has direct flights to many UK and European cities.

Travelling from London and London airports

Coach

There are direct National Express coaches from Victoria Coach Station in central London and from Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport.

Train

Trains to Bristol run from Paddington Station in London. You can catch connections to Paddington or Reading station from the London airports, see National Rail for timetables and bookings.
