Car parking guidance for visitors
All vehicles, except motorbikes, parked on campus between the core hours of 08:30 and 17:00 Monday to Friday must display parking validation in their vehicle windscreen or driver's window. Vehicles must be parked in a designated parking bay.
I'm going to Frenchay Campus
Visiting a member of staff
Please ask the person you're visiting to book you into one of our reserved spaces in the visitor car park, which is only accessible via the North Entrance. Our staff can book a space in the visitor car park using the Facilities online portal (staff only). The car park barriers are operated using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). You'll need to provide your vehicle registration number to your host in order to be able to enter and exit the car park.
If you're going to T Block (Bristol Robotics Laboratory), please contact your host to arrange access for you.
Helping a student move
If you want to help a UWE Bristol student move in or out of accommodation on our Frenchay Campus, please contact travel.team@uwe.ac.uk for advice and assistance.
Self-guided campus tours
Parking for self-guided campus tours is free but we need you to notify us at least one day in advance so that we can add you into the parking system. Please email your vehicle details, registration number and estimated arrival time to travel.team@uwe.ac.uk. On receipt, we'll send you arrival instructions and directions.
All other visitors
There's currently no facility to accept visitors that haven't been booked in via the visitor booking system. Please read our alternative travel options for travelling to Frenchay.
I'm going to Glenside Campus
Parking is very limited. Please contact the person you are visiting and ask them to arrange car parking for you in the visitor car park. There is very limited space in this car park and all visitors must be pre-booked. Please read our alternative travel options for travelling to Glenside.
Self-guided campus tours
Parking for self-guided campus tours is free but we need you to notify us at least one day in advance so that we can add you into the parking system. The fine print
Even if you have a permit, we do not guarantee access to individual spaces. Parking on campus is entirely at your own risk.
Please do not park in neighbouring residential streets. Parking in residential areas has become a huge inconvenience to local residents.
