Review of multi agency working: final report (PDF 418KB)
This inquiry was commissioned to illuminate and address problems and issues in multi-agency working in the context of Childrens' Fund operations. The approach was to generate a database of views, values and experiences on which to develop theories about and appropriate forms of action and organisation in respect of multi agency, inter-professional working. The project was a collaboration between three UWE research centres and took a case-based approach. Key focuses for the enquiry and its findings concerned embedded difficulties in integrating service cultures with distinct value and professional orientations, distinct accountability regimes and different styles of work and association. This study joins a range of similar studies being drawn upon to support 'joined-up' action at service level, especially in relation to children's services.
