Evaluation of the 'Building Learning Power' project (2003)

This project is an evaluation of the building and learning power (BLP) outcomes in the Bristol Education Action Zone. BLP is a ground breaking approach that is based on the belief that helping pupils become better learners enhances their motivation, improves their behaviour and raises their achievement. The evaluation includes base line audits conducted by teachers and the tracking of pupils' progress and attendance. There are a small number of case studies in nursery/infant, junior and secondary schools that include classroom observations and interviews with those implementing BLP.
