Why choose the BA(Hons) in Early Childhood?
A first degree in Early Childhood is an excellent grounding for a career involving working with children. The Early Childhood course offers a broad introduction to early childhood, focusing primarily on children aged 0-8. You will study children in society, children’s learning and child development. Within the programme we encourage you to link theory to the practice of working with children and develop a critical understanding of a range of issues in this field of study.
Why choose the BA(Hons) in Education and Early Childhood?
On this combination award you will gain a sound perspective on both subjects, with a good choice of option modules. At the end of the course you will have a critical understanding of the historical, social and cultural meanings of childhood and a thorough knowledge of diverse child-rearing practices in time and place. You will have an insight into contemporary policy for children, in particular the emphasis on multi-agency working practices, as well as an appreciation of the issues involved in researching children's voices.
Why choose the BA(Hons) in Education, learning and development?
