Where can I find teaching resources online?

The E Learning Development Unit webpages are a good place to start finding out about the various projects currently ongoing within UWE.

On the web there are a whole host of resources that may be of use to you. A few are listed below. We hope to update the list regularly so please get in touch if you have anything you'd like to add.

Resources

JISC - Joint Information Systems Committee set up to "provide world-class leadership in the innovative use of ICT to support education and research"

C4LPT - Great site Centre for Learning and Performance Technologies (C4LPT).  There are two main elements: the Resource Centre and the Social Learning Network

Google Scholar - literature search

Film & Sound Online - collections of film, video and sound material.

intute - database of educational web resources

ephinx - adverts and tv commercials

classic tv ads - more tv spots (try not to spend all day here...)

blogger - blogging site provided by google

edublog - blogging site aimed at teachers and students

Teacher Tube - YouTube for teachers, mostly secondary school level but it'll hopefully develop.
