Research

CESR Research has been funded by government departments (The DfES, the DTI); UK research councils and trusts (the ESRC, Leverhulme, the British Academy); the European Union under its framework five and six funding programmes, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD); trade unions, including AMICUS; and regional policy forums (such as Fair Play South West).

Research themes:

CESR undertakes academic, policy-relevant and commissioned research. It has a regular seminar series and publishes working papers in addition to books, chapters and articles for refereed academic journals. The shared commitment of its members is to analytically rigorous investigation of work and employment issues; the broad dissemination of findings to research user communities as well as academic audiences; and the development of research networks at regional, national and international levels.
