Fees, bookings and discounts


Each of our short courses has an individual fee. This can be found by going to the Short courses by subject area and clicking on the course you are interested in, then going to the Prices and Dates tab.

Many of our short courses carry UWE module accreditation that can be used towards various postgraduate qualifications. For those short courses that carry accreditation, you will be required to pay an additional fee.

How to Book

To make a booking please go to the Short courses by subject area page and click on the course you are interested in and complete the online booking form found under the Prices and Dates tab.

Provisional bookings

To make a provisional booking, please follow the instructions above, choosing the provisional booking option under the payment section of the online booking form.

Early Bird Discount

We offer a 10% early bird discount on our short courses (excluding distance learning courses) for courses booked and paid for in full eight weeks prior to the course start date. This discount will be confirmed against your booking once you have completed the online booking form and selected your payment method.

Please note that this discount is subject to availability, and can not be used in conjunction with any other offer. All discounts are applicable to the short course price only. The extra accreditation cost can not be discounted. If you are unsure of your eligibility for a discount, please contact the Executive Development Centre, who will be able to confirm your status.

Enhanced Learning for the Armed Forces

UWE is an approved learning provider for ELCAS.

The Ministry of Defence's (MoD) Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC) is an initiative to promote lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces. The ELC scheme provides financial support in the form of a single up-front payment in each of a maximum of three separate financial years. You are reminded that ELC funding is only available for pursuit of higher level learning i.e. for courses that result in a nationally recognised qualification at Level 3 or above on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) (England and Wales), a Level 6 or above on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) or, if pursued overseas, an approved international equivalent qualification.

GrowthAccelerator Growth Accelerator

GrowthAccelerator is a new service that will help England's brightest growing businesses achieve their ambitions with rapid, sustainable growth. It’s a partnership between private enterprise and government. And it’s affordable.

GrowthAccelerator's network of world-class growth experts work side by side with leaders of high-growth potential SMEs to provide them with the know-how and ability to achieve sustainable growth. The service will help discover the real issues that could be holding businesses back, define the right growth plan and open doors to world class business experts and networks.

Whatever these businesses need to speed and sustain growth, GrowthAccelerator will help drive them forward.

Through this initiative, eligible member organisations can access match-funding of up to:

  • £20,000 per business for leadership and management training and development for staff (this funding can be used for staff at all levels)
  • £2,000 per individual to help develop their leadership and management skills ( for existing and aspiring management staff )

These funding streams can be used towards applicable courses, run as bespoke training sessions for your organisation, short courses or MSc programmes.
