The Bristol Business School has a wide range of fantastic facilities aimed to enhance your student experience.
Computer facilities
Extensive computer facilities are available to all students. BBS has six undergraduate and one postgraduate computer room, with additional facilities available throughout the University. We also operate a 24-hour access computer room. Our computers are equipped with a range of standard business software as well as specialist software packages such as a statistics package and applications for questionnaire analysis.
You can link your own computer into the University network using either wireless or wired connections and all the on-campus student accommodation features a broadband connection.
Teaching rooms
We have a wide range of teaching rooms for delivering large lectures and small tutorials for group work. All rooms are equipped with white boards and have wireless connection.
Library
UWE has one of the largest libraries in the country – and it is particularly well-equipped for serving the needs of business students. In addition to books, journals and magazines, information aids include electronic journals, CD-ROMS, government publications, newspapers, market reports and videos - as well as Internet access.
Student Learning Spaces
‘the Space‘ is ideal for practising group presentations and for focus group use. ‘the Forum‘ is a flexible learning space with wireless Internet access and study areas, a meeting table and sofas.
Executive Education Development Centre
This centre benefits from four fully equipped training rooms, a communications room and relaxed reception area. It provides dedicated facilities and a professional environment for all your training needs.
Postgraduate Resource Centre
The school has a dedicated centre which provides PCs, fax machine, photocopiers, binding machines, wipe boards and flip charts as well as meeting rooms.
Trading room
We have invested in an impressive new trading room built around the Reuters 3000 Xtra system. The system provides you with real-world experience of analysing exactly the same financial market information as that used by large city investment banks.
Cafe
The Cribbs cafe, based in BBS , is open to students throughout the week and serves a variety of hot and cold food, sandwiches and refreshments.
