Bringing great ideas to life
Our knowledge exchange programmes, business consultancies, incubator services for start-ups and enterprise competitions help make business ideas a reality.
Working on world-class projects
UWE took centre stage in the development of BLOODHOUND SSC, a car designed to take the land speed record to over 1000mph/Mach 1.4. With a project team involving world-class engineers, our students gained unparalleled hands-on opportunities through work placements and project work.
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
Our Knowledge Transfer Partnerships help organisations to improve their competitiveness and productivity through exchange of knowledge, skills and technology, and by employing recent graduates to help give them that competitive edge.
UWE's software design team and graduate Ally Stuart, successfully embarked on an innovative partnership with media company, Rubber Republic, to design the Viral Ad Network, software that manages and tracks the success of viral advertising. This project is set to create a centre for excellence for web product management in the South West.
Inspirational speakers
Our Distinguished Executive Address (DEA) series provides unique opportunities to hear about the challenges, issues and decisions being made at the highest level of UK plc. Recent speakers have included Martin McCourt, CEO, Dyson Ltd and Sir Mike Rake, Chairman, BT Group plc and easyJet plc, and Brendan Barber, General Secretary, Trades Union Congress (TUC).
