Sharing expertise across the globe
Thanks to our large and growing community of international students, partner colleges abroad and internationally-renowned research, we are at the heart of some truly exciting local and global collaborations.
Educational partnerships worldwide
Our students come from nearly 100 countries to study here in Bristol. We also offer our students the opportunity to study abroad, in partner universities in Europe and the USA.
We are focused on developing strong partnerships with international partner institutions, in places such as Vietnam and Malaysia. These involve delivery of degree programmes, knowledge exchange, and working on collaborative research projects.
Helping businesses break into emerging markets
Our International Talent internship scheme helps local businesses break into and expand in overseas markets, by partenring them with our talented international students. In exchange for their language skills, in-country knowledge, our students gain invaluable business experience in a truly global context.
Research solutions to real world issues
From techniques to detect, slow or even prevent the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), to new develoments in piracy tracking, UWE's research is helping to create a brighter future for the local and global community.
Recently a research team from the Institute for Bio Sensing Technology (IBST) cemented urology research links with partners in Malaysia. Areas of research include rapid detection models for dengue fever, one of the most common viral diseases in tropical countries.
