Campus developments

We have several large-scale developments taking place across our Frenchay and City Campuses. These will help us continue to provide world-class facilities where our students can learn and develop professional skills.

Developing Frenchay Campus

Our dedicated Students' Union building was completed in 2015, and our £50 million Faculty of Business and Law building is due to open in 2017. Over the next 10 years, we will be landscaping and transforming the campus with the creation of the UWE Stadium.

Business learning and engagement

Alongside spaces for learning and socialising, our Faculty of Business and Law building will provide executive development facilities and areas for business development – for students and local business. Students will also be able to develop professional skills in new showcase law courts and city trading room.

World-class sporting facilities

Over the next decade, we will be landscaping and transforming the 70 acres next to the campus into a new UWE Stadium and car park. The future home of Bristol Rovers Football Club, the stadium will provide:

  • student internship and employment opportunities
  • sports and coaching facilities
  • banqueting suites
  • teaching spaces

Developing City Campus

Launched in 2015, City Campus is our network of cultural and creative spaces across Bristol. Here, creative industries students can access modern facilities and leading regional art organisations across four locations:

Industry-standard media studios

Bower Ashton Campus is in the final phase of an extensive redevelopment project involving the refit and refurbishment of art and design studios. A new purpose-built Moving Image and Lens Media Studio Suite will also provide modern, industry-standard facilities for animation, photography and filmmaking students.

City-centre support and learning

We recently took over the top three floors of the Arnolfini city-centre building. Here, we provide city-centre computing and student support for City Campus students.
