Travelling by bicycle

Cycling is a great option for getting to the University. If you want to keep updated on what we are doing to encourage cycling at UWE Bristol and join the conversation then sign-up to the Bike User Group (BUG) by emailing travel.plan@uwe.ac.uk.

UWE Bristol has benefited enormously from the recent investment in largely traffic free cycle routes that criss-cross the city.

Facilities for cyclists

See the Frenchay Campus map for locations of cycle parking, lockers, showers and drying areas. Showers and bike parks are also available at Glenside Campus and City Campus at Bower Ashton. There are continuing plans to improve and increase the number of cycling facilities at all campuses.

If you have comments and suggestions please contact us by emailing travelplan@uwe.ac.uk.

Bike maintenance

Dr Bike offer free bike check-ups every Tuesday in term time between 10:00 and 14:00. This service is available at Frenchay, Bower Ashton and Glenside on various dates and no booking is required.
