About Social Sport

Social Sport is our intramural sports programme, which is open to everyone. You'll make new friends whilst getting fit and having fun. There are coached courses, drop in sessions, intramural leagues and Halls sport.

The 2017/18 programme is coming to an end but please keep an eye on the website for the launch of the 2018/19 programme.

All leagues are now coming to an end for this year 2017/18, Active Card and Social Sport members can still take part in coached courses and drop in sessions up until Tuesday 31 July 2018. If you are non member you can pay as you go for drop in sessions, please register at the Centre for Sport reception or if you would like to sign up for a coached course please contact

Type of Session Description
Coached Courses These eight-week courses are led by a qualified coach and are suitable for beginner and intermediate players.
Drop in These sessions are flexible and informal, and fit around your study and other commitments.
Intramural Leagues Take part in fun and friendly sporting competition, without the commitment to additional training hours.
Halls Sport Represent your hall in a league, which is a great way to create a bond with new friends. If you enter a league, your results will count towards a UWE Bristol Central Halls League.

Please note

When signing up to a league, coached course or drop-in session, you commit to attend each fixture/session; if you miss a large percentage of these fixtures/sessions (and have not contacted us with a valid reason) you may forfeit your right to book in the future.
